This past weekend was truly amazing! Tom and I were able to take a trip to Sao Paulo city to do some ministry. We encountered so many people who in turn encountered a LIVING GOD! HE IS INCREDIBLE!!
I am sure you have heard the story of the Prodigal son.
It is a beautiful story of how great a love a Father has for his transient son who squanders his inheritance.
The son one day comes to his senses and begins his journey back to his fathers house. I imagine him walking down a road just like the one pictured above. Almost home… The sun beating down on his dirty, tear stained face as he tries to escape his thoughts that are filled with shame and doubt about how his father will react to him….maybe…
“If I tell him that I will work for food, become a servant… he will let me stay and not reject me”
I imagine he also had thoughts in his mind about giving up and not facing his father.
“I shouldn’t even try, I don’t deserve forgiveness”
But from afar, his father saw him and RAN to him, embraced and kissed him! With his heart filled with joy and relief that his son had returned. The father called to his servants to get the feast prepared. They would be celebrating tonight!
What an amazing picture of the Love our heavenly father has for us! No matter how far we stray off course, God is ready to welcome us back…with such a deep unconditional love that only he is capable of.
I am so grateful that I chose to walk down the same dusty road to take a chance that I might be taken in; that I might find an answer, a pain relief, a hope, anything that would help my tired little broken life… but what I found was so much more than I could have ever imagined!!
I just wanted to share what has been on my heart since my trip to São Paulo. So many people encountered God’s unconditional love and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the sacrifice Jesus made for us…that we might know such love!
If for whatever reason you find yourself in a place of insecurity or regrets from life choices you have made….Please know that it’s never too late to return HOME to Your Father God ….He is Waiting!!!
Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to share your thoughts=)
